About ANC & the ECHO Method™
What makes ANC different from other endurance coaches?
ANC uses the proprietary ECHO Method™ and ANC Performance System, built around Critical Power/Speed, physiological profiling, and individualized zone-based training — not cookie-cutter plans. Every decision is data-informed.
What is the ECHO Method™?
ECHO is ANC's proprietary coaching framework that integrates endurance physiology, fueling strategy, race-specific preparation, and athlete mindset into one cohesive system. It's the foundation of every ANC coaching program.
Do you coach all levels or just competitive athletes?
All levels — from first-timers completing their first triathlon or 5K to podium-level athletes chasing qualifications. The right program depends on your goals, not your current fitness.
What disciplines do you coach?
Triathlon (Sprint through IRONMAN), Running (5K through Marathon), and Cycling/Gravel. Many ANC athletes are multi-discipline.
How is coaching delivered?
100% remotely via TrainingPeaks. You get structured daily workouts, ongoing plan adjustments, and direct communication with your coach — from anywhere in the world.
Choosing the Right Program
What's the difference between ECHO 1-on-1 and Foundation Coaching?
ECHO 1-on-1 is our most comprehensive program — full individualization, CP/CS testing, physiological profiling, fueling strategy, and ongoing performance analysis. Foundation Coaching is ideal for athletes newer to structured coaching who want personalized guidance at a more accessible entry point, with a clear pathway to ECHO when ready.
Who is TrainingPlans+ for?
Self-coached athletes who want proven ANC-structured training plans without 1-on-1 coaching. You get the ANC framework and periodization without the ongoing coach relationship. A great starting point or complement to racing.
Can I upgrade from Foundation or TrainingPlans+ to ECHO?
Absolutely. Many ANC athletes start with Foundation or TrainingPlans+ and transition to ECHO 1-on-1 as their goals evolve. We'll guide you on timing.
How do I know which option is right for me?
Fill out our Coaching Inquiry form and the ANC team will recommend the best fit based on your goals, experience, and race calendar.
Getting Started
How do I sign up?
Complete the Coaching Inquiry form. We'll be in touch within 48 hours to discuss next steps.
What happens after I submit the inquiry form?
A member of the ANC team reviews your submission and reaches out to schedule a brief intro call to make sure we're the right fit for each other.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Yes, 1-on-1 coaching requires a minimum 3-month commitment. Endurance performance is a process — meaningful adaptation takes time.
When should I start coaching relative to my goal race?
Ideally 16–24 weeks out for a key race. However, we can onboard athletes at any point in their season and build from there.
What equipment do I need?
A GPS watch is essential. A power meter is strongly recommended for cycling. We'll discuss specifics during your onboarding call.
Training & Communication
How often will I hear from my coach?
Communication frequency depends on your program, but expect regular touchpoints around key workouts, race prep, and plan adjustments. Your coach monitors your TrainingPeaks data continuously.
What if I miss workouts or life gets in the way?
That's normal. Your coach adjusts your plan in real time based on what's happening in your life — work, travel, illness, or fatigue. Flexibility is built into the ANC system.
Do you include fueling and nutrition guidance?
Yes. Fueling strategy is a core component of the ECHO Method™. ANC athletes also have access to the ANC Fueling Playbook library and race-specific fueling resources.
Do you use Critical Power and Critical Speed testing?
Yes — CP/CS is central to how ANC sets training zones and tracks fitness progression. Your coach will guide you through testing protocols.
Logistics
Where are you based? Can you coach internationally?
ANC is US-based but coaches athletes globally. Remote delivery via TrainingPeaks means location is never a barrier.
Do you offer refunds?
Please refer to our Terms of Service for our full refund and cancellation policy.
How do I access my training as an existing athlete?
Log in directly at trainingpeaks.com or via the TrainingPeaks app. Your coach pushes all workouts there.
