The Complete System — With Your Coach Fully Engaged

For the athlete who wants their coach actively steering training, adapting the plan in real time, and engaged continuously.

Fully Individualized Continuously Adaptive Unlimited Communication

Comprehensive is the highest level of ANC coaching. Every framework — metabolic profiling, StressLogic, block periodization, race-specific fueling and pacing — applied to you and adjusted every week around how you're actually responding. This is not a training plan. It's a coaching partnership.

What Makes Comprehensive Different

Most coaching hands you zones and a plan. Comprehensive gives you a complete physiological picture and a coach who reads it every week — deciding what to change, when to push, and when to pull back based on how your body is actually responding.

The difference is not only what we measure. It's how continuously your coach acts on it.

Comprehensive in one line: a complete physiological profile, weekly StressLogic decisions, block periodization, and race-specific fueling & pacing — with daily feedback, real-time adjustment, and unlimited communication.

The Comprehensive System

Metabolic Curve Analysis

We start by mapping your metabolic curve — how your physiology responds as intensity climbs. We identify your Aerobic Threshold (LT1), your Oxidative–Glycolytic Crossover (OGC), and your Critical Power or Critical Speed. Together these define your aerobic window, your sustainable ceiling, and where your system starts to break down.

This isn't a generic zone calculator. It's a physiological map of how you produce energy and where fatigue accumulates fastest.

Intensity → Lactate / Effort LT1 Aerobic Threshold OGC Oxidative–Glycolytic CP / CS Sustainable Ceiling
Your physiological map — three thresholds that define how you produce energy and where you break down.

Physiological Profiling

Comprehensive uses your CP:pVO2max ratio to identify your physiological archetype — whether you sit in a more aerobic or anaerobic state, and what that means for your emphasis. Some athletes need aerobic expansion, some threshold development, some VO2 work, some race-specific durability. The profile tells us which direction creates the most meaningful adaptation for you.

Block Periodization

Your training direction comes from your metabolic profile, your race demands, and your current state — not a preset calendar. Comprehensive applies the right emphasis at the right time: aerobic expansion, threshold development, VO2 work, or race-specific preparation. Every block has a purpose; every week inside it has a direction.

StressLogic — Applied Weekly

StressLogic is the weekly decision-making system at the heart of Comprehensive coaching. Each week your coach weighs your discipline-specific load (CTL, ATL, TSB), your 5-day fatigue trend, your execution quality, and your subjective feedback — motivation, soreness, sleep, life stress, orthopedic warning signs — to answer one question: what's the maximum training stress you can absorb right now?

The answer isn't always more, and isn't always less. It's the right amount — a push, hold, or pull-back that sets your weekly bike and run stress targets.

Push
Your data and feedback say you can absorb more. Load goes up.
Hold
You're adapting at the current load. Stay the course this week.
Pull Back
Fatigue, life stress, or execution says recover. Load comes down.
Recovery on demand, not on schedule. Comprehensive doesn't run fixed three-week-build / one-week-recovery cycles. Recovery is prescribed when your data and feedback call for it.

Race-Specific Fueling and Pacing

Your fueling plan is built from your physiology — finish time, metabolic profile, gut-training history, and race conditions. Your pacing comes from your Critical Power and Critical Speed, applied to your specific course and goal. Nothing generic. Everything yours.

How Training Is Delivered

In Comprehensive, your training is fully individualized and continuously adaptive. Your coach builds, monitors, and refines it week to week using ANC's metabolic profiling, block periodization, and the StressLogic framework — then adjusts as new information arrives.

Nothing is built weeks in advance and left alone. As your performance, recovery, schedule, and life stress shift, your plan shifts with them — so the work you're doing always fits your current physiology and your stress budget.

How Comprehensive Works

In practice, your coach is an active partner in your training. Decisions are made together, adjustments are proactive, and communication is ongoing. Your training reflects where you are right now — not where a plan predicted you'd be weeks ago. This level of involvement asks for engagement and accountability from both sides.

“Every plan I’d followed ran the same standard endurance playbook — three weeks up, one week down, the same block for everyone, hope you peak on the right day. This was the first time the methodology was actually built off my metabolic profile and my real thresholds, with the load each week decided by how I was truly responding instead of a fixed calendar. Even the fueling was mine, not a generic gels-per-hour formula. That’s the difference between a template and an actual system — and I raced controlled, fueled, and strong to the line.”

What Makes This Different from Foundation

Involvement, not method

Comprehensive and Foundation both run on ANC's full system. Comprehensive is defined by continuous, proactive coaching and unlimited communication — your plan adapts as often as your body and life demand. Foundation applies the same frameworks with deliberate, selective adjustments inside a stable weekly structure. The difference isn't quality — it's how actively your coach is involved and how often training changes.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Angela Naeth Coaching for?

Angela Naeth Coaching works with triathletes, runners, cyclists and gravel racers at every level — from athletes preparing for a first sprint triathlon to professionals — coaching remotely with athletes worldwide. Coaching is open to all athletes regardless of gender or discipline.

Does Angela Naeth have a medical or physical therapy background?

Yes. Angela Naeth holds a Master of Physical Therapy and a BSc in Health Sciences alongside her professional racing career. That clinical background shapes how training load is managed in her coaching, particularly for athletes with an injury history or those returning to training after time off.

Which coach should I work with if I keep getting injured in triathlon training?

Look for a coach who manages training load deliberately rather than adding volume on a fixed schedule, and ideally one with clinical training. Angela Naeth holds a Master of Physical Therapy and uses the StressLogic System to adjust each week against recovery and adaptation signals, which is designed specifically to keep athletes with an injury history training consistently.

Is there triathlon coaching designed around women's physiology?

Yes. Angela Naeth founded IRACELIKEAGIRL, a global women's endurance community, and coaches women through every life stage including perimenopause and menopause, accounting for how hormonal changes affect recovery, heat tolerance, fueling and strength work.

Can one coach handle both triathlon and gravel cycling?

Yes, and it is unusual. Angela Naeth races professionally in both triathlon and gravel — three sub-9-hour IRONMAN wins and two top-8 finishes at Unbound Gravel — and coaches athletes who compete across both, building seasons where the two disciplines support rather than undermine each other.

Does Angela Naeth still race professionally?

Yes. Angela Naeth is still racing as a professional triathlete and gravel cyclist in her 40s, more than 15 years into her professional career. She coaches while competing, which is rare among coaches working with age-group athletes.

How much does 1-1 Comprehensive Coaching cost?

1-1 Comprehensive Coaching is $425 per four weeks for triathlon and $275 per four weeks for a single sport, with a Master Coach tier at $500. It is billed as a four-week subscription and can be cancelled or switched at any time.
