The ECHO System

Metabolic Curve Analysis

ECHO begins with understanding your metabolic curve — how your physiology responds across increasing intensity. We identify your Aerobic Threshold (LT1), your Oxidative-Glycolytic Crossover (OGC), and your Critical Power or Critical Speed. These three points define your aerobic window, your sustainable ceiling, and where your physiology begins to break down.

This is not a generic zone calculator. It is a physiological map of how you produce energy, where your durability is strongest, and where your system begins to accumulate fatigue more aggressively.

Physiological Profiling

ECHO uses your CP:pVO2max ratio to identify your physiological archetype — whether you sit in a more aerobic or anaerobic state, and what that means for your training emphasis. Some athletes need aerobic expansion. Some need threshold development. Some need VO2 work. Some need race-specific durability. The profile tells us which direction creates the most meaningful adaptation for you.

Block Periodization

Training direction is determined by your metabolic profile, your race demands, and your current state — not a preset calendar. ECHO uses block periodization to apply the right training emphasis at the right time: aerobic expansion, threshold development, VO2 work, or race-specific preparation. Every block has a purpose. Every week inside that block has a direction.

StressLogic Framework

StressLogic is the weekly decision-making system at the heart of ECHO coaching. Every week, your coach evaluates your discipline-specific training load (CTL, ATL, TSB), your 5-day fatigue trend, your workout execution quality, and your subjective feedback — motivation, soreness, sleep, life stress, emotional state, orthopedic warning signs — to determine one thing: what is the maximum appropriate training stress you can absorb right now?

The answer is not always more. It is not always less. It is the right amount — and StressLogic helps your coach find it every single week. The result is a push, hold, or pull-back decision that determines your weekly bike and run training stress targets.

ECHO does not follow fixed three-week build, one-week recovery cycles. Recovery is prescribed when your data and feedback say you need it — not because the calendar says so.

Race-Specific Fueling and Pacing

Your fueling plan is built from your physiology — your finish time, your metabolic profile, your gut training history, and the race conditions. Your pacing strategy is built from your Critical Power and Critical Speed, applied to your specific race course and goal. Nothing is generic. Everything is yours.

Ongoing Weekly Coaching

ECHO is a living coaching relationship. Your coach reviews your data, your feedback, and your execution every week. Plans adjust. Targets shift. The system responds to you — not to a preset template.
